BIG NEWS! New Product - My new children’s Book - Kofi and Ama ABD Alphabet

Hey Everyone,

On this momentous day of my creative journey, I am thrilled to announce the release of my new book, "Kofi and Ama ABD Akan Twi Alphabet." This creation marks the beginning of a series that aims to go beyond just one language or product. It is a project that has been close to my heart, as I firmly believe in the significance of preserving one's culture.

As a second-generation British-born individual with Ghanaian heritage, I've often found myself pondering the numerous labels we place upon ourselves. It's truly remarkable. Growing up, my parents emphasised the importance of learning our native language, 'Twi.' Although my sibling and I did our best, we never quite mastered reading and writing it. Nevertheless, these are skills we wish to pass down to our children. Thus, the idea for this book series was born.

During my time in secondary school in Britain, we were encouraged to learn a second language, predominantly European, like French and German. I often wondered why African languages weren't included in the curriculum. As I entered adulthood and joined the workforce, I began to recognise a world structured in a way that values certain languages and cultures over others. It's akin to how some passports provide greater access to countries without requiring visas.

But I digress. In recent years, there has been a notable shift, with the African diaspora embracing their roots and taking immense pride in their origins. We all know the historical reasons that hindered this pride before. Therefore, my intention is to explore not only other languages and cultures that have been part of my upbringing through the Kofi and Ama Series but also the lesser-known African and Caribbean countries. I firmly believe that our collective culture holds immense significance.

I want to extend a special shout-out to authors who are currently engaged in similar endeavours. Together, we can amplify the voices and stories that deserve to be heard.

So, my dear viewers, I hope you thoroughly enjoy the first instalment within the Kofi and Ama franchise. This is merely the beginning of an exciting journey, and I invite you all to join me on this incredible adventure. As always, I wish you Peace, Love, and Abundant Blessings!

Always Creating,

EKASOA
